Job Overview The Customer Service Representative role at arenaflex is a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, providing excellent customer service to our policyholders and interested third parties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for explaining policy coverage, claim status, and assisting with claim payments or other policy information. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring that our customers feel valued, supported, and satisfied with our services. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties to address their queries and concerns Processing policyholder requests from correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a timely and efficient manner Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintaining department standards for number of calls, average handle, and time management to meet performance targets Providing excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills to ensure seamless customer interactions Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Demonstrating mathematical abilities and excellent alpha and number recognition skills to accurately process transactions and resolve issues Utilizing basic PC skills and software applications to manage customer data and perform administrative tasks Able to handle high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism, making logical conclusions and taking appropriate actions Maintaining regular and predictable attendance, adhering to assigned shifts and schedules Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that align with arenaflex's values and mission. The essential requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred At least one year of office experience, with telecommunications experience being a plus Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired Excellent customer service background and good phone skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions Basic PC skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications and technologies Able to type at least 30 words per minute, with accurate data entry and record-keeping skills Reliable and predictable attendance, with the ability to work full-time and/or part-time based on the specific position Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential requirements, the following qualifications are preferred: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), with a pay differential available for qualified candidates Previous experience in a remote work environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively Knowledge of insurance operations and policy information, with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve customer queries and issues Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology applications Work Environment and Company Culture At arenaflex, we are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the well-being and success of our employees.
