* Assist customers with resolving delinquent tax and state agency debts and the collection process
* Utilize knowledge base information from the careerzynith Accounts Receivable Collection System (ARCS) to answer customer inquiries regarding departmental policies, procedures, and some points of law
* Update and retrieve account information regarding delinquent tax and state agency debt accounts using the State Treasury Accounts Receivable (STAR) system
* Process work queues and exception reports generated from ARCS and STAR
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer experience
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* One year of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Proficiency in using computer software and systems, including case management tools and knowledge bases
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a customer service or call center environment
* Knowledge of tax and state agency debt collection processes
* Familiarity with case management tools and knowledge bases
* Certification in customer service or a related field
