About the Role We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in a fully remote, full-time position. As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service support to our Review Team, interacting with beneficiaries and providers, and maintaining timely and accurate communication. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service support to the Review Team, including interacting with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, creating, formatting, and proofreading letters, and maintaining timeliness. Communicate verbally and in writing with external customers to furnish and request review information, fostering effective working relationships between arenaflex's internal and external customers. Assist with and participate in the Review Team in identifying areas for potential improvement, as noted on case reviews and process. Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, determining how to best assist callers either by a service offered by arenaflex or by referring them to an external agency and properly entering referrals into the CMS system. Ensure all letters are sent out in a timely manner with correct components included and reviewed for grammatical and spacing errors. Obtain and validate notices and all components of medical records, providing intake for all appeals received by arenaflex. Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes, maintaining proficiency in customer service guidelines and standards. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with post-high school business courses helpful. Medical terminology desired, with excellent verbal communication skills, a courteous and patient demeanor, and the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations. Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills, with a customer-focused, results-oriented approach and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. General knowledge of a PC-based computer system desirable, with knowledge of various software packages and the ability to learn additional software packages as needed. Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities, with prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology recommended. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
