About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Claims Inquiry/Claims Research team on a fully remote basis. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch service to our members, providers, and plan sponsors via phone, email, and other channels. Key Responsibilities Respond to inquiries and resolve issues from members, providers, and plan sponsors in a timely and professional manner. Conduct in-depth claims research across multiple platforms to address provider payment queries and concerns. Provide personalized support and guidance to customers, proactively offering relevant information to address unasked questions and concerns. Utilize our customer service threshold framework to make informed financial decisions and resolve member issues efficiently. Process claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, grievances, and appeals via our target system. Educate providers on our self-service options and assist with credentialing, re-credentialing, and contracting queries. Compile claim data for customer audits and determine medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verify member plan eligibility. Essential Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Teams, and Excel. Ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer engagement. Experience working in a fast-paced, transactional call center environment. Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills. High-speed internet access (100 Mbps or higher) and a stable connection. A dedicated workspace with a direct connection to the router (not Wi-Fi). Preferred Qualifications A background in healthcare or a related field.
