**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in New York City, NY. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
* Providing high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone, ensuring that their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
* Processing applications, checking records for accuracy, and maintaining compliance with established policy and procedures.
* Assisting applicants with outreach to other city agencies and interagency communication to resolve issues related to their license.
* Answering telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence, communicating applicant information, and providing accurate responses.
* Attending seminars, meetings, and trainings to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
* Performing ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments.
* Maintaining accurate and organized records, including data processing functions, recording, researching, checking, and maintaining records.
* Following all division and agency policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization.
* One year of satisfactory clerical experience, preferably in a customer service or licensing environment.
* Strong customer service, communications, and organizational skills.
* Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
