**The Opportunity**
As a Customer Service Representative I at careerzynith, you'll play a critical role in providing high-quality service to customers related to the Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You'll participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines, and respond to customer questions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service. **Key Responsibilities**
* Participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists
* Adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines
* Provide consistent high-quality service to customers
* Respond to customer questions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service
* Utilize software, scripts, and tools appropriately
* Appropriately document all encounters in clear and concise online logs
* Employ empathic support to customers
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional phone voice and etiquette
* Ability to follow instructions and scripts
* Skilled in active listening
* Proficient with computers, and good typing skills
* Strong time management and decision-making skills
* Knowledge of the FAFSA
* Knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Work experience in a college financial aid office or college administrative office
* Strong knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes
**Work Environment**
* Remote work environment with occasional opportunities to work in an office with a small cubicle environment
* Climate-controlled office environment with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
