Our team is comprised of talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared vision of delivering exceptional service and support to our customers. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for: * Answering questions and resolving issues based on phone calls, letters, and emails from members, providers, and plan sponsors, demonstrating empathy and compassion in every interaction. * Documenting and tracking contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded and communicated. * Guiding members through their plan of benefits, client policies, and procedures, while also providing knowledge of resources to comply with regulatory guidelines. * Building emotional connections with our members by understanding and engaging with them to champion their best health interests. * Anticipating customer needs and providing related information to answer unasked questions, such as additional plan details, benefit plan details, and member self-service tools. * Using the customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions to resolve member issues. * Explaining members' rights and responsibilities according to the contract. * Processing claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, grievances, and appeals via the target system. * Educating providers on our self-service options and assisting them with credentialing and recredentialing issues. * Responding to requests from the Client's Law Document Center regarding litigation and lawsuits. * Handling extensive file review requests. * Assisting in the preparation of complaint trend reports and compiling claim data for customer audits. * Determining medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verifying member plan eligibility for incoming correspondence and internal referrals. * Handling incoming requests for appeals and pre-authorizations not handled by Clinical Claim Management. * Reviewing member claim history to ensure accurate tracking of benefit maximums and/or coinsurance/deductible, and performing financial data maintenance as necessary. **Essential Qualifications** * High school or GED equivalent * Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, demonstrating ability to be empathetic and compassionate * Experience in a production environment * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Proficiency in using technology, such as CRM systems and Microsoft Office **Preferred Qualifications** * Healthcare insurance and call center experience * Experience working with regulatory guidelines and compliance * Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and developments * Certification in customer service or a related field **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Proficiency in using technology, such as CRM systems and Microsoft Office * Ability to build emotional connections with customers and understand their needs * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong time management and organizational skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
