Job Overview We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your responsibilities will include the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, ensuring timely and compassionate care. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and entering prescriptions into our system. Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure the smooth processing of specialty medications. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to resolve orders with financial or clinical issues. Demonstrate superb communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse groups, including patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you will need: Essential Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology are highly preferred.
