Job Overview
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient drug orders and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits. Your duties will also involve assisting patients with interpreting and entering new or reorder prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to monitor, identify, resolve, and escalate orders with financial or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional phone support to patients, ensuring prompt and efficient processing of specialty medication orders
Verify and renew benefits, as well as obtain authorizations and collect copay amounts
Assist patients with interpreting and entering new or reorder prescriptions into our pharmacy information system
Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve financial or clinical issues
Monitor and escalate orders with debt claims or clinical issues, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction
Utilize strong relational skills to effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners


Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least one year of experience in a customer-facing role, handling and resolving complex customer needs via phone
Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
Strong PC keyboarding skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

At least six months of experience resolving complex customer needs via phone
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
