About the Role We are seeking a talented and dedicated Customer Service Representative to handle incoming phone calls and serve as the primary customer interface for inquiries. As a member advocate, you will inform and educate our members, building trust in our abilities and being the voice of the customer. By utilizing established best practices, attending ongoing training, and leveraging resources and tools, you will serve as an expert to help navigate the complex world of insurance. Key Responsibilities Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to respond to and resolve customer issues Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary and comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates Stay current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in customer service, insurance products, and industry regulations Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must have: High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred) Availability for 9-12 weeks of live virtual training, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (Central Time Zone) Reliable internet service provider and a dedicated, distraction-free workplace The strongest candidates for this position will also possess: Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation skills Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment A passion for providing exceptional customer service and making a difference in the lives of our members What We Offer At blithequark, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including: $39,520 annually, plus benefits package (Health Benefits effective 1st of the month following start date) Full-time position (40 hours per week) with a flexible work schedule, including the possibility of working from home Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge A dynamic and supportive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
