Job Overview As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering a great shopping experience for every customer. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting customers with questions and recommendations, managing sales transactions, maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets, keeping the store well-stocked, and recovering merchandise. You will also be responsible for receiving merchandise, helping with unloading trucks, and stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with questions and recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency Maintain security of cash and protect company assets, adhering to company policies and procedures Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise to ensure a neat and presentable shopping environment Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required Strong organizational and communication skills are required Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be an asset in this role: Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment Knowledge of inventory management and stock replenishment procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
