Your key responsibilities will include: * Operating the cash register and other store equipment with precision and accuracy * Making safe drops as per company policy and maintaining safe, secure cash handling practices * Fueling customers' cars with a smile and ensuring their vehicles are clean and well-maintained * Washing customer windows to a sparkling shine * Restocking shelving, displays, and coolers to ensure our products are always available and easily accessible * Cleaning and stocking the fast food area and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment * Sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning the store to create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers * Keeping your work area neat, clean, and organized to ensure efficiency and productivity * Picking up trash and cleaning the parking lots to maintain a safe and clean environment * Maintaining the exterior cleanliness of our buildings, islands, and pumps to create a positive first impression * Promoting our store's buy2 concept and making upsell suggestions to increase sales and customer satisfaction * Reporting to work promptly, neatly groomed in uniform, and adhering to all company guidelines * Reporting accidents or incidents to supervisors immediately to ensure a safe working environment * Providing exceptional customer service, being courteous, always greeting and thanking customers, and resolving their inquiries in a timely and professional manner **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred * Previous customer service experience in a retail or fast-paced environment * Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently around the store * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations and priorities **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Previous experience working in a gas station or convenience store environment * Knowledge of our products and services, or a willingness to learn and become knowledgeable * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations and priorities * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently around the store * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills and careers.
