With a strong focus on innovation, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, blithequark is the perfect place to launch or advance your career. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate – Temporary Role at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * **Customer Experience** + Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. + Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. + Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. * **Operations** + Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. + Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. + Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested. + Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. + Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. + Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. + Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. + Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. * **Visual Merchandising** + Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. + Complete resets and revisions as directed. * **Photo Services** + Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine. + Suggestively sell promotional photo products. * **Web Pick-up and Maintenance** + Monitor orders in Picture Care Plus and fill orders (pick items). + Deliver orders to customers as they arrive at the store. + Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance. * **Training & Personal Development** + Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate. **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred. * Previous customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods. **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a similar role at blithequark or a similar organization. * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment. * Experience with visual merchandising and display construction. * Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods. * Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems. * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Customer Service Associate – Temporary Role at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your customer service skills and knowledge of our products and services. * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and career prospects. * Work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. * Contribute to the success of our organization and make a positive impact on the lives of our customers and employees. **Work Environment and Company Culture** blithequark is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
