Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional service, and we are committed to providing a work environment that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering. **Key Responsibilities:** As an Experienced Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous customer service experience preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends **Preferred Qualifications:** * Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.
