**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and customer engagement
* Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products, services, and promotions to provide expert advice to customers
* Utilize technology, such as our sales tools and systems, to enhance the customer experience and drive sales growth
* Collaborate with other departments, such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental, to provide a seamless customer experience
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
* 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Strong product knowledge and sales skills
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
* Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with other departments
* Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
* Familiarity with retail software and systems
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
