Job Summary

As a Customer Care Representative for Retirement Services, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing personalized support to customers, and resolving their inquiries in a timely and professional manner. You will work as part of a team that is empowered to go above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities


Utilize exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to respond to customer inquiries regarding retirement products, such as 401k, IRA, and 403(b) investments.
Identify customer needs and provide personalized service to ensure positive and meaningful outcomes, engaging more knowledgeable team members as necessary.
Research and locate information using multiple systems and technologies to resolve customer inquiries.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to obtain and/or provide necessary information to resolve issues.
Document customer inquiries and associated actions, following up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
Maintain a basic understanding of products, procedures, and systems, staying up-to-date on industry developments and company offerings.
Achieve department metrics and expectations, contributing to the team's overall performance.
Participate in a team-based environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve department goals.


Essential Qualifications


Associate's degree in a business field or equivalent experience.
One year of call center or customer service experience, or financial services industry experience.
Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency using MS Office tools.


Preferred Qualifications


Understanding of retirement products, such as 401k, IRA, and 403(b).
Ability to navigate multiple screens and systems simultaneously.
Previous work-from-home experience.
Previous financial industry experience.
Salesforce experience.
Product promotion experience.


Working Conditions


Work-from-home/call center environment - must have a dedicated workspace with minimal distractions.
Hours of operation are 8am to 7pm CT, with open availability Monday-Friday.


Compensation and Benefits

Transamerica offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the personal and financial well-being of its employees. The salary for this position generally ranges between $33,280 - $41,600 annually, with eligibility for an Annual Bonus of 6% based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance.
