Experienced Consultant Architect for Epic (Healthcare/EHR) Systems Integration Advice
We are seeking a senior consultant with extensive experience in Epic EHR solutions. The role includes: Validation & Advisory: Assess options for integrating rule-out infection writeback capabilities into Epic, whether via HL7/FHIR extensions or other API-based modules. We need to understand if third-party approaches are possible or if Epic’s core platform restricts this functionality to Epic development only. Hospital Mapping & Automation: Advise on how bed, ward, and room layouts (hospital mapping) are maintained within Epic, both via the UI and any available automation options. Data Extract Guidance: Provide guidance on extracting data from Epic’s Clarity data warehouse. We need strategies to keep extracts standardized and reusable across clients, minimizing client-specific customizations. Requirements: Strong Epic EHR experience (please detail years and specific integration work). Prior experience with Epic HL7/FHIR integration and/or custom writeback processes. Familiarity with hospital mapping tools within Epic and automation options. Understanding of Epic Clarity and best practices for standardized extracts.
