Job Summary As a Collections Agent, you will play a critical role in contacting and negotiating with customers to collect payments on overdue, defaulted, or write-off loans. You will serve as a liaison between creditors and customers, managing overdue accounts and working to retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for debt recovery. This is a remote opportunity that requires a motivated and experienced professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Influence and advise customers on payment options for debt recovery, negotiating payment plans based on company-approved guidelines. Execute strategies for collection processes and procedures, building positive rapport with customers to retain loyalty while collecting payments. Initiate and handle both inbound and outbound calls to collect debts, demonstrating empathy, assertiveness, tact, and resilience. Achieve revenue targets and call quality objectives, using effective questioning and listening skills to communicate with customers via phone, email, chat, and text. Maintain compliance with corporate policies, including the company's Creed, Code of Ethics, and Information Security Policies. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Collections Agent, you will need: A High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of one year of call center or customer service experience, with three years of collections experience in a high-volume call center preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Strong critical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, with a background in a fast-paced work environment a plus. Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred but not required.
