Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our providers, members, and health plans, addressing a wide range of topics from benefit information to problem resolution. As a Clinical Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of blithequark, serving as a trusted resource and advocate for our customers. Your primary function will be to answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional, accurate, timely, and courteous manner. You will utilize our proprietary systems to look up caller information, provide timely responses, and forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department. Key Responsibilities Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls, chats, and outgoing calls in a professional, accurate, timely, and courteous manner Communicate professionally at all times, both verbally and in writing Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in our proprietary systems Look up caller information using our proprietary systems and provide information to the caller Forward logs requiring further research to the appropriate department Utilize appropriate resources, including those online, to provide timely responses Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow-up is done in a timely manner Meet or exceed minimum key job accountabilities established for the Customer Service Representative position Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all legal and compliance requirements Complete all blithequark and CSS trainings in a timely manner Attend weekly staff and other meetings to discuss issues and foster teamwork among department personnel Respond to requests for internal and external customers and/or clients, as required Perform other duties as assigned Comply with all policies and standards Qualifications and Core Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required 1 year of experience performing customer service duties; inbound call center experience preferred Basic computer skills Strong verbal communication skills Ability to utilize and maneuver in multiple systems during a single interaction Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare concepts Experience with proprietary systems and software applications Bilingual or multilingual skills Core Competencies Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships Ability to display excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills to identify critical core competencies based on success factors and organizational environment Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time Demonstrated accuracy and productivity in a changing environment with constant interruptions Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, issues, situations, and procedures to develop effective solutions Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
