Job Overview Key Responsibilities Lead a diverse portfolio of civil projects, including earth moving, trenching, piping, asphalt and concrete flatwork placement, and rebar Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules using MS Project Provide direct supervision of staff, including training, safety, work quality, time sheets, and expenses Ensure safe performance of project work, with a strong focus on safety and quality Travel 50% of the time, depending on projects Manage project financials, including understanding project financial metrics such as GR, NR, CM, GP, and DLM Identify change order conditions, manage the scope of changes, and build financial costs to implement changes Communicate easily and concisely with clients and senior management regarding project status, schedule, budget, or staffing variances Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience. You should have at least 6 years of proven technical experience in civil construction, with a working knowledge of civil practices, including earth moving, trenching, piping, asphalt and concrete flatwork placement, and rebar. You should also have experience with project financials, including understanding project financial metrics and managing them to produce financial metrics included within project bids. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 40 HAZWOPER, OSHA 10, or OSHA 30 certification Experience working with MS Office (Excel) and MS Project Experience with Bluebeam and RS Means Prior experience contributing to business development for new and existing clients Track record of driving safety and quality while not sacrificing financials Ability to engage and motivate a team Strong attention to detail and good safety record Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation Skill and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate easily and concisely with clients and senior management.
