Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Cheese Assembler to join our team on a weekend-only, 3rd shift basis. As a Cheese Assembler, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process. You'll work closely with our manufacturing team to set up for production, address quality concerns, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Key Responsibilities
* Assist in setting up for production and changeovers
* Interact with manufacturing team to address string and bulk quality production concerns
* Unwrap improperly sealed cheese and re-feed rejects
* Report all questionable product and/or foreign material in product to Team Leader
* Utilize SPC charting for weight and quality checks
* Observe all safety rules, work rules, and procedures
* Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures
* Operate and maintain foamer
* Other duties as may be assigned due to short-term, unforeseen manufacturing changes or needs
Requirements and Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent combination of education and experience
* Ability to read, comprehend, and execute tasks in a compliant manner as outlined in related policies, programs, SOPs, etc.
* Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills
* Focuses on Saputo's vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees, customers, and patrons while performing job duties
* Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times
* Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
* Demonstrates ability to work in a coordinated and cooperative manner in a team setting with team goals
* Ability to read and understand production and packaging schedule and packaging verification reports
* Visually inspect product for quality defects
* Capable of working with little or no supervision

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
* Physically able to do medium to heavy work in terms of lifting, with frequent stooping, squatting, reaching, and handling 25-30# tubs of cheese/finished product.

* Competitive salary: $20.69 with $1 differential from 6:00pm-6:00am 3rd shift
