Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Conflict Resolution Specialist

**Job Description:**
As a Chat Moderator at careerzynith, you'll be responsible for:
* Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules.
* Deleting messages that violate our rules, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language
+ Spam or self-promotion
+ Harassment or bullying
+ Infringement of intellectual property rights
* Banning users who repeatedly violate our rules, after a thorough investigation and warning process.
* Muting users who have violated our rules, to prevent further disruption.
* Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations, and taking swift and fair action when necessary.
* Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community guidelines, and to improve our moderation processes.
* Providing excellent customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community management and conflict resolution.
**Qualifications:**
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately identify and address rule violations.
* Familiarity with Discord and other online community platforms.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in community management, conflict resolution, or a related field.
* Knowledge of online safety and security best practices.
