Our team is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people can thrive. **The Role** We are seeking experienced chat-based mental health coaches to join our team and support young people through our online platform. As a Coach with blithequark, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students from diverse and historically marginalized communities. You will provide on-demand and weekly coaching, using empathy and awareness to support students in need. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide on-demand and weekly coaching to young people through our chat platform * Use empathy and awareness to support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities * Follow established protocols, especially during crisis-based chats, with support from licensed Coach Supervisors * Continually learn and adapt to new online platforms and tools with ongoing training and support * Collaborate with our team to develop and implement coaching programs that meet the unique needs of our students **What You'll Need** * Experience in mental health, youth work, or coaching * Reliable laptop or computer (no tablets or cell phones) and internet with a minimum 50 mbps download speed * A quiet, distraction-free workspace * Must reside & be in the U.S. for the duration of your contract with blithequark **Application Process** * Submit a written application * Complete a video interview * Participate in a live group interview * Provide 2 references * Pass a background check **What We Offer** * Competitive salary * Flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs * Ongoing training and support to help you grow in your role * The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people * A dynamic and supportive team environment **About Our Certification Program** If you're new to coaching, don't worry! We offer the blithequark Coach Certification Program, a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed as a Coach. Our program is designed to be flexible and accommodating, with 24 hours of training spread over 6 weeks. You'll learn about coaching principles, online platforms, and tools, as well as how to support students from diverse backgrounds. **Already Certified?** If you've completed an accredited coaching program, you can fast-track your training by passing our assessments. We'll work with you to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge you need to succeed as a Coach. **Coaching Hours & Flexibility** We adapt to the needs of the students we serve, which means that seasons, world events, school obligations, and the time of year can all influence the demand for coaching at any given time. We're seeking Coaches who are flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You may support students 1-3 hours a week, or sometimes not at all.
