Key Responsibilities Utilize existing equipment to test and validate battery cells, systems, and related components under various stresses, including electrical, mechanical, and thermal conditions. Design and develop customized equipment, fixtures, and protocols as needed to ensure highly accurate and effective testing. Participate in the selection, procurement, commissioning, and validation of new test equipment, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners. Coordinate with third-party test labs from the request for quotation (RFQ) stage through to the final report, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results. Develop Design of Experiments (DOEs) to maximize learning opportunities and optimize testing schedules for efficient use of internal and external resources. Lead and direct the activities of Test Technicians, providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful test execution. Compile and analyze test findings, presenting comprehensive technical reports to stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement in standardized test protocols, data acquisition, analysis, and archiving systems, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed as a Battery Test Engineer at Workwarp, you'll need: Essential Qualifications: A degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical). Proven experience in battery testing and validation, with a strong understanding of battery technology and related components. Proficiency in designing and developing test protocols, equipment, and fixtures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Strong communication and project management skills, with experience in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: A postgraduate degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience. Experience with Design of Experiments (DOEs) and statistical analysis. Familiarity with industry-standard testing protocols and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of data acquisition, analysis, and archiving systems.
