About the Role We're seeking an experienced Associate Technician, IT Services to join our team in Miami, USA. As a remote opportunity, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic team that's passionate about delivering exceptional IT support to our employees. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and software to ensure seamless operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, install, monitor, and maintain IT clients' desktop software and hardware, including mobile workforce support Provide consultation to IT clients on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software Own issue resolution, communication, and troubleshooting with employees, ensuring timely and effective solutions Deliver local training to clients and resolve tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals Collaborate with various departments to resolve infrastructure-related issues and contribute to desktop projects Remotely diagnose and resolve demands using remote tools, and document client interactions in incident management systems Recover data from hard disk drives, perform data migration, and support remote access for virtual private network connectivity Install and configure local and network-based printers, perform preventive maintenance, and work varied shifts, occasions, on-call, and travel as required Follow management direction, complying with IT policy and procedure, and perform various tasks as assigned Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/training At least 3 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving diverse PC desktop software and hardware issues Direct experience supporting personal computers in a Windows/TCPIP environment Strong knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, consider: A+ certification MCSE/MCP certification or higher Previous IT system experience in a Carrier/Airport environment Knowledge of workflow and ticketing systems Experience with VPN connectivity and issue troubleshooting What You'll Get At American Airlines, we're committed to supporting your well-being, growth, and success.
