**Job Summary:**

As an Assistant Manager of Cargo Customer Service, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cargo facility at the Denver (DEN) Station. You'll work closely with our Cargo Manager to provide relentlessly reliable service, build strong relationships with customers, and lead a team of Cargo Supervisors and Agents. **Responsibilities:**

* Verify that high-quality work is accomplished throughout the Cargo Operation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address deficiencies.
* Maintain effective operating relationships with station leadership, the TWU 555, shipment sales, vendors, and other departments to ensure operational excellence.
* Support the Cargo Manager of Operations with local responsibilities, including hiring, training, and development of Cargo Agents and Cargo Supervisors.
* Ensure the productivity of SWA Cargo Employees and Cargo Contract Handlers, focusing on staffing, scheduling, hours of operation, and product carrier levels.
* Ensure centers and equipment are maintained in good condition and assist with facility projects.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all TSA security policies regarding Cargo and SWA Cargo rules and strategies, ensuring compliance.
* Provide exceptional service and support to all SWA Cargo Customers and Internal Customers.
* Perform other process responsibilities as directed by Employee's Leaders.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

* Extensive experience in the areas of Cargo, Ramp, and Operations.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality expectations regarding confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information.
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively under demanding conditions, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
* Ability to live and work in a fast-paced environment, managing emergencies as needed.

**Education:**

* High School Diploma or GED.

**Experience:**

* Fully functioning, extensive experience in:
+ Leadership
+ Cargo, Ramp, and Operations
* Preferred:
+ Experience in a union environment and/or union agreement expertise.
+ Knowledge of airport operations compliance.
