Experienced and/or Credentialed - Federal Background Investigator - Independent Contractor
Job Description:
The Independent Contractor Background Investigator will conduct national security public trust pre-employment background investigations, focusing on providing a quality case report in a timely manner to IDS and the federal customer.
THIS IS A 1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY.
Preferred Experience:
ā¢ Successfully completed National Training Standards (NTS) course.
ā¢ Current customer credentials or the ability to obtain based on National Training Standard certification and experience conducting background investigations.
ā¢ The Investigator must have prior experience conducting federal background investigations for the federal customer within the LAST THREE YEARS.
Responsibilities of Background Investigators Include:
ā¢ Review case papers
ā¢ Conduct comprehensive interviews with subject and sources to establish reputation, character, and qualifications of the subject
ā¢ Write clear concise reports
ā¢ Provide any required edits or additional information within 48 hours of request
ā¢ Monitor pending cases to ensure compliance with ACD date
Competencies of Background Investigators Include:
ā¢ Proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics
ā¢ Ability to manage case load and meet customer required deadlines
ā¢ Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
ā¢ Exceptional telephone and in person etiquette
