Tutor Position Details As a part-time Tutor with Lindamood-Bell, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing one-to-one and small group instruction to students. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on students' lives. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group instruction, in-person or online, implementing specific lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment Manage client records electronically using a computer Implement positive-reinforcement strategies that maximize learning, in a cheerful and authentic manner Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful as a Tutor with Lindamood-Bell, you will need: A passion for helping others reach their potential Excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills Basic computer skills and the ability to type notes about student performance while leading engaging sessions A Bachelor's degree (preferred) or an Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree (acceptable) Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior teaching experience Experience working with students with learning challenges Knowledge of educational software and technology What We Offer: As a Tutor with Lindamood-Bell, you will enjoy a range of benefits and perks, including: A competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour Paid training in the programs used by Lindamood-Bell (8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for two weeks) Opportunities for part-time and flexible scheduling (less than 30 hours per week) 10 paid holidays (9 scheduled and 1 floating), vacation, sick, and closure hours Eligibility to participate in a 401(k) benefit (for employees who are at least 21 and have worked for Lindamood-Bell for 6 consecutive months) Company-wide discounts on many services and products, including Apple products, cell phones, and auto rental deals Work Environment and Company Culture: At Lindamood-Bell, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and growth.
