Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a fully remote Wisconsin school district position. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
Providing instruction and support to students in a remote learning environment
Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Staying up-to-date with best practices in special education and incorporating new strategies and technologies into instruction


Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Active SPED licensure in Wisconsin
At least 1+ years of experience in special education, with a strong background in instructional design and delivery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in special education


Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and other disabilities
Knowledge of and experience with remote learning platforms and technologies
Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to support and guide colleagues
Fluency in a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
