Job Overview As an Ambulatory Care Technician II, you will play a vital role in assisting medical providers and ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic. You will work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide patient care, facilitate patient throughput, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Key Responsibilities Assist medical providers with orthopedic procedures and other medical tasks as requested Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and providing patient education Maintain a clean and safe environment, including setting up exam rooms, instruments, and equipment Facilitate patient throughput and room turnover to ensure efficient clinic operations Model appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required Technical Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting required 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an ambulatory care setting Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software Bilingual or multilingual skills Skills and Competencies Strong patient assessment and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software Strong organizational and time management skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, we are committed to helping our Associates grow and develop in their careers.
