Job Overview As an Amazon Warehouse Associate, you'll be an integral part of our fulfillment center team, responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping out customer orders. You'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, using a range of equipment and technology to ensure that orders are processed quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities Receiving and Processing Inventory: Receive and put away stock, ensuring that it's properly stored and accounted for. Order Fulfillment: Get customer orders ready, pack them up, and load them onto trucks for shipment. Operating Equipment: Use scanners, screens, and other equipment to read bar codes, follow directions, and troubleshoot problems. Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality requirements, and adhere to strict safety and fulfillment production standards. Operating Power Industrial Trucks (PIT): Operate forklifts, pallet drivers, and other PIT equipment to move stock around the warehouse (equipment training and certification are provided free of cost). Physical Tasks: Lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts up to 60 pounds, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Working at Heights: Work at heights of up to 35 feet on PIT equipment, and up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable). What to Expect at Our Amazon Fulfillment Center Our fulfillment center is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a range of activities and tasks to keep you engaged. Here's what you can expect: Safety First: Your safety is our top priority, and we provide protective gear and daily safety briefings to ensure that you're aware of any potential hazards. Moving Machines: You'll be working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. Activity Levels: Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. Temperature Variations: Even with climate controls, temperatures can vary between 60F and 90F in some parts of the warehouse; on hot days, temperatures can be over 90F in the truck yard or inside trailers. Noise Levels: It can get noisy at times, and we provide hearing protection if you need it. Dress Code: Our dress code is relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a warehouse or fulfillment center. Familiarity with Amazon or other e-commerce companies. Certification in PIT operation or other relevant equipment. High school diploma or equivalent.
