About the Role We are seeking an experienced Airport Agent - Ramp and Customer Service professional to join our team at blithequark in Killeen, TX. As an Airport Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flights, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. Key Responsibilities Guide and direct incoming and outgoing aircraft on the taxiway to ensure safe and on-time arrival and departure Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, cargo/freight, and company materials, with some items weighing up to 75 lbs Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts to support aircraft operations Collaborate with the internal team to ensure safe and on-time departure, and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience for passengers Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and calculate and collect fees Communicate with passengers throughout their experience, providing information about their trips and belongings Resolve passenger issues in a timely and friendly manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including the interior of the aircraft and aircraft lavatories Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: Minimum age: 18 High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent Valid, unexpired, and unsuspended state driver's license, with no restrictions that may prohibit you from being considered for this role Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, overnights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off Flexibility to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary Physical ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs Ability to work outside in variable weather conditions Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear, polite, and friendly manner Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in the airline industry, particularly in a customer-facing role Knowledge of reservation/ticketing software and systems Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a positive and seamless experience for passengers Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and passengers Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, with a focus on safety and efficiency Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
