We're now seeking an experienced Air Customer Service Agent to join our team on a remote basis, working with guests and travel agents across the US. About the Role As an Air Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for guests and travel agents, providing timely and effective support for air travel-related issues. You'll work collaboratively with our teams to ensure seamless travel experiences, resolve complex problems, and exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Respond to phone calls, chat messages, emails, and voicemails regarding air travel issues, providing accurate and prompt solutions. Manage major schedule changes, perform ticketing activities (issuance, refunds, exchanges, etc.), and ensure compliance with airline regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve incomplete Passenger Name Records (PNR) due to missing TSA data or airfares, and realign pricing to collect additional revenue. Certify air tickets issued for passengers, update ticket match exception reports, and assign ancillary services as requested. Process guest entertainment, crew executive travel, and VIP requests, and communicate effectively with port agents, hotels, and ground transportation. Research air schedules booked for crew outside of budget and process last-minute crew changes. Provide next-port protection coverage (flight re-accommodation) to accommodate passengers when needed. Demonstrate commitment to blithequark's core values, Culture Essentials, and customer satisfaction. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership, including working shipboard email inboxes and supporting travel agents with enroute issues. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Experience in the travel and hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume call center environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with excellent phone and customer service skills. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with travel suppliers, port agents, crew members, employees, and management. In-depth knowledge of the Sabre airline reservation system, including creation of air bookings, ticketing, exchanges, pricing, routing, and queue processing. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Legal authorization to work in the United States (blithequark is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time). Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with airline reservation systems, such as Sabre. Familiarity with travel industry regulations, including TSA requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
