Job Summary We're seeking an experienced ADA Compliance Specialist to drive accessibility initiatives across our web and mobile applications. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our digital platforms provide an equitable experience for all users, including individuals with disabilities. Key Responsibilities As an ADA Compliance Specialist, you'll be responsible for: Conducting accessibility audits of web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with ADA, WCAG 2.1, and other relevant accessibility standards. Collaborating with UX/UI designers, developers, and product teams to implement best practices in accessibility from the start of the design process. Providing guidance and recommendations on improving the accessibility of existing web and mobile applications. Working closely with QA teams to develop and execute accessibility testing strategies using both manual and automated tools (e.g., screen readers, keyboard-only navigation). Staying up to date with changes in accessibility legislation and technology advancements to ensure ongoing compliance. Educating internal teams on accessibility standards and the importance of inclusive design. Documenting and reporting on accessibility findings, providing clear recommendations for remediation. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, User Experience, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web and/or mobile accessibility compliance. In-depth knowledge of ADA Title III, Section 508, and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards. Experience with accessibility testing tools like Axe, Wave, JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications We're looking for candidates with: Certification in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or other accessibility credentials). Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams. Familiarity with mobile development platforms (iOS, Android) and their accessibility features. Experience working on large-scale projects that include compliance and accessibility considerations.
