Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated 3rd Shift Packaging Professional to join our team at Saputo. As a key member of our packaging team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging lines, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to the success of our organization. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of packaging duties as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor, including operating and maintaining equipment, rotating between lines and positions, and practicing good ergonomics. Work collaboratively with the packaging team to achieve team goals, assist in setting up for production and changeovers, and visually inspect products for quality defects. Observe all safety rules, work rules, and procedures, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies. Operate and maintain the foamer, and know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures. Read and understand production and packaging schedules and packaging verification reports. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training. Excellent work ethic, consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime and holidays. Ability to work comfortably with mathematical figures, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Physical ability to perform medium to heavy work, including lifting, stooping, squatting, reaching, and handling 25-30# tubs of cheese/finished product. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies. Experience with operating and maintaining equipment, including foamers and packaging machinery. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and supervisors. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including excellent benefits after 90 days of employment. Our compensation package includes a starting salary of $20.69 per hour, with a $1 shift premium offered for hours worked between 6pm and 6am.
