Events & Marketing Coordinator
Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Events & Marketing Coordinator to help deliver engaging events and support marketing efforts. The role involves managing logistics, communications, and post-event reporting while gaining hands-on experience in event operations and digital marketing. Responsibilities Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual events from concept through completion Coordinate logistics including venue communication, vendor coordination, timelines, and materials Assist with event setup, registration, and on-site operations Manage event timelines, task lists, and deliverables using Asana Build, schedule, and test email campaigns in Mailchimp Support social media campaign execution (posting, scheduling, basic engagement) Write clear, engaging marketing copy for emails, social posts, and event descriptions Capture and organize event content (photos, videos, quotes) and support post-event recaps Edit basic video content for social media and event highlights (when needed) Support post-event follow-up, reporting, and recap materials Skills Hands-on experience with Mailchimp (building and sending campaigns) Experience executing social media campaigns (posting and managing) Strong marketing copywriting skills (clear, concise, engaging) Experience with project management tools (Asana preferred) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work a Hybrid schedule. 3 days per week onsite in Downtown Seattle Experience with video editing for event recaps and short-form/social content Prior internship or 1–2 years of experience in events, marketing, or communications Familiarity with tools like Canva, Eventbrite, or similar platforms Willingness to support events outside of standard business hours when needed Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Company Overview The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most diverse business association in the Puget Sound region.
