Events and Operations Coordinator
Next Step Fund is a nonprofit organization serving young people living with chronic illnesses. They are seeking an Operations & Events Coordinator to support nonprofit event management, fundraising operations, donor database management, and organizational logistics.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary coordinator for all fundraising and community eventsPlan and execute nonprofit events including golf tournaments, road races, art exhibits, and donor eventsManage full event logistics: timelines, venue coordination, AV, catering, signage, setup, breakdown, and postāevent followāupSupport peerātoāpeer and volunteer fundraisers, including use of fundraising platforms and social media toolsMaintain and utilize event tracking systems for golf and running eventsCoordinate travel, lodging, and communications for donors, partners, and highāprofile guestsProcess and record monetary and inākind donations using Bloomerang CRMPrepare and send donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship communicationsAssist with fundraising appeals, direct mail, postcards, and special development projectsSupport overall nonprofit operations by improving systems, workflows, and efficienciesBuild and maintain relationships with vendors such as hotels, airlines, print vendors, restaurants, and retailersManage ordering, tracking, and inventory of branded organizational materialsAssist with receipts, documentation, and compliance supportCollaborate with program staff to help design and support volunteer programsSkillsExperience in event coordination, nonprofit administration, or fundraising supportStrong project management, organizational, and timeāmanagement skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, and tracking systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesProblemāsolving mindset and strong attention to detailWillingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for eventsAccess to a car and valid driver's licenseBachelor's degree preferredBenefitsHealth insurance403(b) retirement planProfessional development opportunitiesCommuter benefitsGenerous and flexible paid time offCompany OverviewNext Step's mission is to shatter limitations and elevate aspirations of teens and young adults impacted by cancer and life-threatening blood disease.
