Job Title: Event Assistant (Part-Time) – Chesapeake
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Event Assistant for our operations in Chesapeake. This is a part-time position offered by Marriott International, a multinational hospitality company recognized for its commitment to employee well-being and career development. Job Description:
The Event Assistant will provide support to the Event Manager in a variety of areas, including but not limited to, coordination of events, maintaining event schedules, managing event supplies, and liaising with clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in planning and executing events, both on-site and off-site
– Liaising with suppliers, clients, and staff
– Coordinating event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking
– Assist with set up and tear down of events
– Maintain event schedules and ensure all deadlines are met
– Manage event supplies, including ordering and inventory
– Provide excellent customer service to clients and event attendees
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in event planning or related field is a plus
– Excellent organization and communication skills
– Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
– Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
