ETL Developer
Job Description:Job Title: ETL Developer (5+ Min Years )Job Location: RemoteJob Type: B2B rolling ContractJob Purpose:To design, develop and deliver ETL and Reporting solutions utilizing clientâs Open-Source platform (Pentaho PDI. Snowflake, Cassandra and Elasticsearch would be a bonus but not essential.
Work with various IT and business teams will be required to ensure BI, ETL and reporting solutions are delivered in accordance with internal and external business needs. Effective communication regarding the status of deliverables and a focus on the timely delivery of work products are key.
Key AccountabilitiesOperates in a global setting and impacts on the IT organization as well as our business lines (IT products or processes)
Deliver BI, ETL and reporting solutions within agreed timeframe and budget working directly with business and other IT teams as needed
Clearly monitor progress on assigned development activities and routinely report back status. Proactively identify and report areas where overrun of time or budget may occur requesting additional approval for more time before continuing.
Interact with internal customers and other IT resources. Working closely with IT Business Analysts to understand and gather requirements, provision data, and design and build solutions.
â˘Follow clientâs IT Demand process.Specialist Knowledge & SkillsSQL knowledge is a pre-requisite (Pentaho).
â˘Analytical and problem-solving skillsâ˘Advanced experience with design and â˘development of ETL solutions. Experience with data warehousing concepts including but not limited to data warehouse modelling, cubes, star and snowflake schemas, facts, dimensions, OLAP vs OLTP, etc.
â˘Scrum, Agile and Kanban experienceAble to translate technical terms to operational terms and vice versa. Able to perform technical analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation.
Experienceâ˘experience in BI, ETL and reporting experience of operating in large company or recognized IT consultancy advantageous
working in Freight, Forwarding or Logistics industry an advantage.
