Estate Planning Associate Attorney
Long Hagan Huff-Harris is a respected law firm serving clients across Greater Boston and the South Shore. The Estate Planning Associate Attorney will play a critical role in serving Trusts and Estates clients by advising on wills, trusts, and drafting estate planning documents. Responsibilities Advise clients on wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents Draft and review an average of six (6) to twelve (12) estate planning documents (WealthCounsel/Leap or experience with other drafting software preferred) Guide clients on asset protection and basic estate tax considerations Counsel executors, trustees, and other fiduciaries on their duties Meet with clients to assess needs and update plans as necessary Counsel executors, trustees, and other fiduciaries on their duties Conduct an average of six (6) to twelve (12) client meetings per week (design meetings and signings) Regular travel to office locations (Boston, Duxbury, Hingham, Edgartown, Hyannis) to conduct signing meetings and design meeting (reliable vehicle required) Ensure accuracy, organization, and compliance in all client files Skills Minimum of one (1) year of Estate Planning experience is necessary Candidates must be licensed Massachusetts attorneys in good standing Excellent Customer Service Skills – A welcoming and professional demeanor is essential Superior Attention to Detail – Precision in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents is essential Organized and Systematic – The ideal candidate understands the importance of organization, systems, and processes Communicative and Collaborative – Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential Self-Motivated with a 'Can-Do' Attitude – The ideal candidate takes initiative, seeks solutions, and can work independently Strong Computer and Technology Skills – Comfort with learning and using software programs daily is required Ability to Manage Up – In a fast-paced law firm environment, the Associate Attorney must effectively manage supervisors to streamline workflows Two (2) to five (5) years experience preferred Experience with WealthCounsel/Leap or experience with other drafting software preferred Prior experience in estate administration and estate-related litigation is a plus Benefits Competitive Pay 401K Company Matching (Up to 4%) 50% Employer Paid Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance FSA & Dependent Care Savings Accounts Life Insurance Continuous Professional Development Notary Oath and Renewal Fees Reimbursement Hybrid Work Schedule 27 Days PTO; Vacation (10), Personal (4), and Paid Holidays Off (13). 5 Days Sick PTO, Annually Company Overview Long Hagan Huff-Harris focuses on Family Law, Trusts & Estates, and Business Law.
