Equity Operational Risk Analyst, Specialist
About the position Provides operational risk management expertise and analysis across global equity investment operations, data support, and front office activities including portfolio management and trading. This role bridges operational risk with a focus on investment operations and data processes, ensuring robust risk oversight across the full investment lifecycle. Responsibilities • Develops, implements, and maintains an effective operational risk management framework to monitor and report risk exposures across global equity investment operations, data, and also front office activities. • Researches and evaluates best practices in equity investment operations, data management, and front office functions to identify and mitigate operational risks. • Recommends improvements based on analysis of investment workflows and trading protocols. • Develops and implements technology-based tools and metrics, and performs statistical data analysis to report, monitor, measure, and manage various aspects of fixed income investment operations and data risk exposures. • Presents thorough, clear, and insightful analysis to investment operations leaders. • Develops and implements processes, tools, and techniques to evaluate and validate equity investment operations and data models. • Implements ongoing model validation processes. • Develops and maintains knowledge of financial markets, quantitative drivers, and general investment operations and data themes in order to bring an informed perspective to the risk management processes. • Develops a deep understanding of Vanguard's equity investment operations and data operational risk management functional areas. • Keeps abreast of current issues in business operations and incorporates changing business needs into risk analysis. • Partners with portfolio managers, traders, and investment operations teams to proactively identify and address operational risks. • Facilitates communication between risk, investment, and technology teams to ensure alignment. • Participates in strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects to enhance risk management capabilities across the investment lifecycle. Requirements • Minimum of five years related work experience. • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. • Graduate degree preferred. Apply tot his job
