About the position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an Epidemiologist to support public health preparedness and disease surveillance initiatives. This role involves conducting complex epidemiological investigations, analyzing health data, and supporting disease prevention efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, epidemiology, and data analysis , with the ability to translate findings into actionable public health recommendations.

Responsibilities
• Conduct epidemiological investigations and surveillance for communicable and chronic diseases.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare and outbreak data using statistical methods and analytical tools.
• Develop and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support public health decision-making.
• Maintain and manage databases while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations for disease prevention and control strategies.
• Collaborate with public health agencies, healthcare organizations, and community partners.
• Participate in committees, workgroups, and public health initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, literature reviews, and program evaluation documentation.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related scientific field with up to 2 years of relevant data analysis experience , OR Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related scientific discipline.

Nice-to-haves
• Strong understanding of epidemiologic principles and statistical analysis methods .
• Experience with data analysis, database management, and data visualization tools .
• Knowledge of public health surveillance systems for infectious and chronic diseases.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and program evaluation techniques .
• Ability to analyze public health problems and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills , including technical report writing.
• Ability to collaborate within a diverse and multidisciplinary team environment .
