Environmental Wastewater Specialist

The Environmental Wastewater Specialist works with the Wastewater and Stormwater Manager to ensure all aspects of wastewater and stormwater management are in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Β Develop master inventory of wastewater treatment plants - notate which locations have an on-site wastewater technician
Β Work with operations and EHS to develop Operations and Maintenance Plans on different types of Wastewater pretreatment systems.
Β Responsible for working with the Training Director/Manager and... EHS team to develop, deploy, and follow-up on training for the following: 1) wastewater and stormwater sampling, 2) pH meter calibration and troubleshooting, 3) permit reviews and compliance.
Β Develop and maintain discharge tracking logs and conduct periodic review; responsible to create, maintain, and verify data and metrics
Β Responsible for trending data and performing on-site inspections to assure compliance.
Β Responsible for preparing Wastewater pretreatment applications.
Β Develop and write SWPPP plans for different types of operations.
Β Develop and write SPCC plans for different types of operations.
Β Conduct scheduled reviews of all plans to include Wastewater O&M Manuals, SWPPP, BMPs and SPCC.Responsible for working with EHS training team to develop and deploy any required training.
Β Responsible for working with EHS Training Department to develop and deliver training on wastewater pretreatment operations, stormwater sampling and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
Β BS Degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred.
Β 3-5 years of experience in Wastewater.
Β Plan and Permit writing preferred.
Β Proficient in technical writing to assist with Wastewater permit applications and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan preparation and development.
Β General understanding of wastewater processes and mechanical knowledge of the different wastewater systems and how they function
