Environmental Scientist I

They are seeking an Environmental Scientist I to deliver high-quality solutions in environmental compliance for a diverse client base, leveraging advanced analytics and technologies. The role involves participating in compliance-related projects, data collection, and developing technical documents.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Materials, Sustainability, and Materials/Product compliance-related projectsPerform data collection utilizing onsite observation and/or remote methodsUtilize software, spreadsheets, databases, or other novel tools for data analysis and client solution developmentDevelop and deliver accurate and precise technical documents rooted in regulatory and client requirementsDevelop and deliver presentations and/or training sessions on regulatory mattersReview and understand current and changing environmental regulationsWork alongside senior and technical staff to develop client solutionsBuild and maintain mutual relationships with clientsSkillsBachelor of Science in Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental or Chemical from a four-year College or UniversityBachelor of Science or Arts degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences or related field from a four-year College or University0 to 2 years' experience within the environmental science / environmental compliance field; preference of direct experience within Commercial/Industrial or Consulting/Engineering sectorsBasic technical competency, and demonstrated skills in engineering/scientific judgment, mathematical-applications, general chemistryProficient with data management, organization and core competency in MS Office products (including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skillsStrong technical writing and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with team members as well as independentlyFlexibility and adaptability to meet fast-paced demands and deadlinesPhysically able to visit industrial, commercial and construction sites where extended time walking & standing may be required, as well as maintain an elevated level of awareness, with or without accommodationThe ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites and/or field visitsValid, non-restrictive driver's license with satisfactory driving recordUS citizenshipKnows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of environmental compliance and sustainabilityWorking knowledge of AutoCAD softwareA master's degree in Environmental Science or Sustainability from an accredited college or universityBenefitsComprehensive and market-competitive benefits.Merit-based financial rewards.Flexibility and company-wide commitment to work/life balance.Collaborative team atmosphere that values the contributions of all employees.Learning and development opportunities for ongoing professional growth.Company OverviewTetra Tech provides innovative solutions focused on water, the environment and energy for the government and commercial clients.
