Environmental Safety Consultant (3-month contract)
Our client, a global consumer goods company, is seeking an Environmental Safety Consultant to join their team. As an Environmental Safety Consultant, you will be part of the Technical Service/Environmental Safety Department supporting the PVA & Water Soluble Films team. The ideal candidate will have strong scientific expertise, excellent communication skills, and collaborative problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Environmental Safety Consultant – Polyvinyl Alcohol (3-month contract)
Location: 100% remote
Payrate: Based on Experience
What’s the Job?
• Provide expert consultancy on the environmental fate, safety, and biodegradability of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and PVA-containing water soluble films.
• Peer review internal research findings and support the scientific strategy for PVA environmental safety.
• Write and contribute to academic papers, overviews, and summaries on PVA environmental safety.
• Facilitate engagement with regulators, academics, and other stakeholders to support evidence-based discussions.
• Advise on knowledge dissemination strategies to address questions or challenges raised by journals, regulators, or other parties regarding PVA safety.
What’s Needed?
• Strong expertise in environmental safety, polymer science, or related scientific fields.
• Experience with peer review, academic publishing, or regulatory engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific discussions.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance and advisory support in a remote, desk-based setting.
• Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
