Synex Talent is on the lookout for an imaginative and skilled Environmental Artist to join our vibrant team in Northborough. This full-time remote position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the world of computer games, creating immersive and captivating environments that enhance player experiences.


As an Environmental Artist, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing visually stunning landscapes and settings that align with our game narratives. Your creativity and technical expertise will be essential in bringing our virtual worlds to life, ensuring they are both engaging and artistically coherent. Join us and be part of a team that values innovation and artistic expression in the gaming industry, with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 annually.


Responsibilities

Create high-quality 3D environments that support gameplay and storytelling
Collaborate with game designers and other artists to establish the visual style
Model, texture, and light environments to enhance immersion
Optimize assets for performance and memory usage
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to project ideas
Ensure consistency across all environmental art assets
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and techniques
Provide feedback and support to junior artists


Requirements

Proven experience as an Environmental Artist in the gaming industry
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of environmental art styles
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max)
Experience with texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop)
Knowledge of lighting and rendering techniques
Excellent attention to detail and artistic sensibility
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus
