Environment Artist
As an Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating assets and environments that bring visually stunning worlds to life. You will capture the artistic style of the project while ensuring technical, design, and narrative requirements are met efficiently.
The rundown:
6 month fixed term contract
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Fully remote within the UK
Salary range: £30,000 -£42,000
Requirements
Key responsibilities:
Design and create exceptional in-game environments and assets, pushing the boundaries of VR by interpreting concepts in an innovative and creative way.
Ensure performance and accountability by delivering high-quality work on time, while contributing ideas and visuals to the research and development process.
Demonstrate versatility by tackling a wide range of styles, from stylized to realistic.
Compose and craft engaging scenes, create assets, and set dress environments to build believable worlds that captivate and evoke emotion in players.
Collaborate effectively with the team at Elevation, developing visual ideas and responding positively to constructive feedback, while also critiquing the work of others constructively.
Skills and Experience:
A degree or equivalent qualification, or at least two years of experience in a related industry.
Proficiency with industry-standard tools, including Maya/Blender, Zbrush, Substance Suite, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine.
Experience working within a collaborative team environment.
Strong 3D skills with an understanding of VR-specific technical constraints and capabilities.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Zbrush would be an advantage.
