ENTRY LEVEL TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER

They are seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public- and private-sector clients. Responsibilities Assist in the planning, design, and development of transportation projects, including roadways and intersections, from concept through final design Prepare horizontal geometry, roadway profiles, cross sections, and grading plans using industry-standard engineering software Support the design and implementation of Complete Streets elements, including multimodal facilities, green infrastructure features, pavements, pavement markings, and signing (including highway guide signs) Develop Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) plans in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates and technical specifications Participate in field work activities such as site visits, traffic counts, measurements, inspections, and data collection in varied environments Coordinate with project team members and other disciplines to ensure designs meet project requirements, standards, and constructability needs Assist with the preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, exhibits, and plan sets Apply federal, state, and local transportation design standards, codes, and regulations under the guidance of senior engineering staff Conduct work in accordance with company procedures, applicable legislation, and industry standards. Ensure deliverables meet internal quality control requirements and client expectations Pursue continuous professional development, staying current with evolving civil engineering practices, design tools, codes, and sustainability trends. Maintain active involvement in professional organizations and training programs as appropriate Adhere to and promote company health and safety policies. Work in a safe manner at all times and promptly report any safety incidents or concerns Perform additional responsibilities as required to support project success and team objectives Skills Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 0-3 years of experience Beginner to intermediate AutoCAD/Civil 3D design skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with professionals from various disciplines Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in technical and professional communication Ability to prioritize assignments, follow quality procedures, and meet established deadlines with guidance from senior staff Active and clear driver's license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Experience with other computer software applications within the civil engineering field (ideally SignCAD, AutoTurn, etc.) Benefits Comprehensive and market-competitive benefits.
