Entry-Level Structural Engineer
Kleinschmidt Associates is a leading employee-owned consulting firm specializing in hydropower and renewable energy projects. They are seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to perform analysis, design, and engineering work for hydroelectric and water resources projects, primarily in their Madison, Wisconsin office. Responsibilities Perform analysis, design and engineering related field work for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects Structural design and evaluation of concrete and steel structures General civil design on hydroelectric projects under the direction of mid-to-senior level staff Skills BS, BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering (concentration in Structural Engineering) Relevant coursework in structural design of concrete and steel structures, finite element analysis, hydraulics, and soil mechanics Knowledge of standards and codes applicable to the structural engineering discipline Experience with structural modeling software and CAD software (MathCAD, RISA-3D, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D) Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team Excellent oral and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States Able to acquire authorization to work in Canada Must be willing to travel Possess a valid driver's license Benefits Competitive salary Bonus Program Comprehensive medical/dental/vision package 401(k) with 4% employer match and 100% immediate vesting 10 Paid Floating Holidays Paid Time Off Company Paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance Paid Parental Leave Tuition Assistance Employee Ownership Company Overview Kleinschmidt Associates is a renewables & environment company that offers engineering, regulatory, and environmental consulting services.
