Entry Level Skilled Laborer
Description:
• Assist skilled laborers in their tasks as required
• Perform physical labor such as lifting, moving, or disposing of materials
• Operate hand and power tools of various types
• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and setup for various tasks
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Perform basic maintenance of work tools and equipment
• Participate in training and safety programs to improve skills and knowledge
• Identify potential hazards or safety concerns and report to supervisors
• Work in various weather conditions and environments
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Assist in the building or construction of various things
• Handle and transport materials and equipment
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Workers must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Valid driver’s license may be required
